Seldom seen and super scarce 1937-1939 Parking Lot by Marx Toys in the original box.  This very scarce toy playset comes with all 5 original Marx pressed steel vehicles and also has the original In & Out ramps which are usually missing.  All vehicles are pressed steel pull/push toys with wooden tires and consist of the following: two 4" long sedans, 4.5" long green stake truck, 5" long tanker truck, and a 4.5" dump truck.  The playset base is really cool with a 24 Hour Service garage in the back corner, a large billboard stating PARK HERE with pricing, and a fence enclosing the lot down the left side.  Out front are 2 tin gas pumps, 3 different sidewalk signs that advertise GAS, New and Used Cars, and OIL for 25 cents per Quart, and there is also a tire rack advertising MARX TIRES with 4 wooden tires sitting inside! (The 4 wooden tires are the only replaced part of this set).  This rare set also comes in its original box.  The box is the typical plain corrugated Marx box with printing on top that states ONE PARKING LOT COMPLETE WITH HEAVY GAUGE CARS.  The box is missing the wrap around cardboard side.  The base needs a good cleaning and has a couple of spots of paint loss - the biggest coin size spot near one of the gas pumps.  There is some scratching to the base and vehicles as shown. The vehicles are all complete with all wooden wheels.  A super rare set to find!
